SARAH BAILEY
Director of Outreach and Sustainability
Sarah Bailey is the Director of Outreach and Sustainability at Infancy Onward, a program of Mental Health America of Indiana. Sarah graduated from Indiana University with teaching licenses in both Preschool and Early Childhood Education. She was the Director of a child care program and taught Kindergarten for years in several elementary schools. She received her Master’s of Education from Indiana Wesleyan. Sarah worked as a therapist for First Steps for four years, and then transitioned to becoming the Inclusion Specialist for an Indiana Child Care Resource and Referral. She worked as an Inclusion Specialist, Child Care Provider Trainer, and Coach for seven years, working with child care providers, families, and children. During this time, she received her Adult Education Coaching Certification from Ball State University.
Sarah volunteered as a Child Advocate for children in need of services and foster care for over ten years. Sarah helped co-chair the Prevent Child Abuse Marion County Council, STARS for Children. Sarah became the Director of Outreach and Sustainability at Infancy Onward in 2019. She received the Infant Mental Health Endorsement® in 2016 and the Early Childhood Mental Health Endorsement® in 2020. In 2021, Sarah was the first in the state of Indiana to receive her Early Childhood Mental Health Mentor- Policy Endorsement®. Sarah participates in over 30 Systems of Care meetings in counties around Indiana. She serves on several state committees, including the Healthy Families Advisory Board, the First Steps Executive and Transition groups, several Indiana County Committee Action Networks, and in the national organization, the Alliance for Infant Mental Health.
