DESCRIPTION:Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Four-Part Training Series:\nSession 1: September 18- How to Improve Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace\nSession 2: October 16- Recognizing and Addressing Microaggressions\nSession 3: November 20- Becoming an Accomplice: Pushing Past Allyship\nSession 4: December 11- Creating Sustainable Change\nThis four-part diversity training series will provide an opportunity to take a deeper dive into the content discussed during the Cultural Intelligence 101: The Awakening session featured during the Infancy Onward’s Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health conference. Taking a proactive approach, this series seeks to challenge and ultimately strengthen the commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion at both the organizational and individual level. Training facilitator Brian Richardson Jr. will push participants to seek understanding during difficult times and interactions, challenge impulsive thoughts and actions, and provoke thought to manifest growth personally and professionally for those in attendance.\nMr. Richardson’s passion is to build and maintain a sense of belonging for all employees and community members by creating opportunities to cultivate minds and inspire change through meaningful dialogue, thus resulting in the creation of programs and initiatives promoting inclusivity and individual growth. As a result of his commitment to DEI, development of minds and creation of leadership opportunities, nationally Mr. Richardson has been recognized among the 2021 Diversity Champion Award winners by way of the National Diversity Council. Additionally, he was named the 2019 Forum on Workplace Inclusion’s Power of the Future Award winner, and the 2018 NASPA’s Now Emerging Leader for Inclusion.
